How are you preparing and responding COVID-19?
At Carpets by Conrad, we are a locally-owned family company, we recognize the heightened concern. We are doing everything we can to protect our people, our customers, our suppliers, and our community – as we work through the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We understand the role we play in the community we serve and will do everything we can to continue our operations during this time without interruption. Our location has reduced store hours. How are you addressing safety concerns responding COVID-19?
As part of our everyday practices, we follow strict safety policies and procedures, above and beyond what is required of us to ensure a safe environment for all.
We are taking additional measures to help ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers. While not an exhaustive list, our responses to the virus are as follows:
- Offering free shop-at-home services and private appointments to customers who prefer not to visit our store.
- As part of our regular practice, our stores and warehouse facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we’re increasing the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and warehouses.
- Stepping up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like workstations, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
- Ensure our installers are strictly following CDC guidelines, including washing hands often, disinfecting frequently touched objects, and carrying hand sanitizer.
- We’re encouraging associates who are sick to stay home.
How do I Scheduled Installations & In-Home Measures?
If customers have an installation or other in-home measurement scheduled, there should be no interruption in that service. We’ve advised all in-home associates, installation crews and service teams to follow everyday preventive actions including washing hands often, disinfecting frequently touched objects, and carrying hand sanitizer.
We’re grateful to you, our valued customer. We are staying in close contact with the CDC as this situation changes and will continue to ensure our business practices and other measures for the safety of our customers and associates are consistent with the most up-to-date information.

Do you have a showroom to look at samples?
We have 10,000 square feet of showroom with over 50 brands of wood, tile, carpet, laminate, and vinyl. You will not find a large selection of flooring under one roof anywhere in Austin. Do I get a warranty with the flooring?
We cover all of our projects with a written warranty and provide free service calls for the life of your floor. Our labor warranty is one-year on hard surfaces and 20-years on carpet. If you have issues with any portion of your installation, we will repair it for free after the sale. You will always receive after the sale service at Carpets by Conrad.
How long have you been in business?
Carpets by Conrad has been installing beautiful flooring since 1985! Our Sales team is knowledgeable and will be there to answer any questions you may have.
How do I know I will get a trustworthy flooring installer?
Carpets by Conrad has been installing beautiful flooring since 1985! Our team of installers has the experience and craftsmanship to perfect any installation. We do not use unfamiliar flooring installers and will never send a flooring installer to your home or office that has not done work for us before. Our flooring installers will respect your home and perform a precise, thorough, and neat installation. Our flooring installers have the know-how to assess any flooring situation. Our tile setters must adhere to a high level of quality. We only work with the best flooring installers in the business.
When can you install floors? How long will it take?
We can install your flooring materials within 72 hours of purchase in most cases. We buy locally but at times our suppliers do run out of stock. Depending on floor preparation and demolition, we can usually install 700-800 sq. ft. of flooring material per day.
Do Carpets by Conrad offer financing or payment options?
With your approved credit, we offer 12-month, no money down, no interest, and no payment financing for free! Also, with your approved credit, we can provide 2-5 years, no interest in equal monthly payment financing. (a one-time finance fee may apply). Please take advantage of our flexible financing and stretch out your dollar. We also take checks and credit cards.
What kind of turnaround can I expect from start to finish?
Typically it will take around a week to order carpet, a couple of days to order tile, and up to two weeks to order wood. The installation can range anywhere from one day for carpet and two to four days for wood and tile, depending on the size of the job.
How do I know what to select or where to begin?
The best way is to hire a designer to put a “WOW” factor into the floor design. We can provide you one. We also encourage you to ask our expert online or over the phone to find answers, get better solutions, and select the right flooring for you.
